This research aims to delve into non-English major students' experience in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to prepare English presentations. The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has had a significant effect on English language learning practice in higher education. Non-English majors who have limited English proficiency are beginning to use AI tools to help them prepare their presentations. However, research specifically exploring the experience and perceptions of non-English major students regarding the use of AI to prepare presentations remains limited. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with 4 purposively sampled students, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results show that AI is used as digital scaffolding in helping with idea organization, vocabulary enrichment, and increased self-confidence. Furthermore, this study also identifies challenges and potential dependencies in the use of AI. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more reflective and sustainable Technology-Enhanced Language Learning practices in English language education.
