Author Guidelines with Template
Journal of Bio-Digital and Forensic Informatics (JBDFI) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of bio-digital, computational, and forensic informatics. Authors are required to prepare and submit their manuscripts in accordance with the official JBDFI Article Template (requires at least Microsoft Office 2021 or higher) to ensure consistency, clarity, and efficient peer review.
Manuscript Preparation
All submissions must be written in English and structured according to the JBDFI template, which follows a standard scientific format: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Ethical Statements, AI Disclosure, and References. Authors are strongly encouraged to adhere strictly to the prescribed formatting, font styles, and section organization provided in the template.
The abstract must be presented in a bullet-based structured format (Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion) and should not exceed 250 words. Up to five keywords must be provided and separated using semicolons.
Article Types
JBDFI accepts the following types of manuscripts (choose one):
-
Research Articles
-
Review Articles
-
Short Communications, including Clinical and Non-Clinical Case Studies
Each article type must demonstrate methodological rigor, clarity of evidence, and relevance to bio-digital or forensic computational science.
Ethical and AI Disclosure
Manuscripts involving human participants, animal subjects, biological data, or sensitive digital evidence must include a clear Ethical Clearance Statement. Authors are also required to provide an AI Disclosure Statement, specifying the role of any AI-assisted tools used during manuscript preparation.
References
All references must follow the IEEE citation style consistently and include active DOIs whenever available. Authors should prioritize recent peer-reviewed international journal articles and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all citations.
Submission Policy
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Submissions that do not comply with the JBDFI template and author guidelines may be returned to authors prior to peer review.
The official JBDFI Article Template can be downloaded from this journal website and must be used for all submissions.
