Peer Review Process

Journal of Biomedical Psychology and Artificial Intelligence (JBPAI) employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and originality of published research. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to maintain fairness and objectivity.

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment to evaluate scope alignment, academic relevance, and basic methodological integrity. Manuscripts that pass this screening are assigned to an associate editor and sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject matter.

Reviewers evaluate submissions based on scientific rigor, originality, clarity of presentation, interdisciplinary contribution, ethical compliance, and relevance to biomedical psychology and artificial intelligence. They provide detailed feedback and recommendations, which may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

Authors receiving revision requests are expected to submit a revised manuscript along with a clear response to reviewers’ comments. Revised submissions may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation. Final publication decisions are made by the editorial board based on reviewer input and editorial judgment.

The journal aims to complete the initial review cycle within a reasonable timeframe while preserving review quality. Editors actively monitor the process to prevent unnecessary delays.

Confidentiality is strictly maintained. Manuscripts under review are treated as privileged documents and may not be shared or used by reviewers for personal advantage. All participants in the review process must disclose conflicts of interest and adhere to professional ethical standards.

The peer review system of JBPAI is designed to promote constructive scholarly dialogue, methodological transparency, and the advancement of interdisciplinary knowledge at the intersection of biomedical science, psychology, and artificial intelligence.
