Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- An Ethical Clearance Letter has been obtained if the research involves human participants, animals, or other living subjects, and the ethical approval number is stated in the Methods section.
- The manuscript has been prepared using the journal template
- The similarity index does not exceed 20 percent based on Turnitin or equivalent software, and the plagiarism report is ready for upload
- At least 70 percent of the references are sourced from reputable international journals and include active DOI numbers.
- Tables and figures are properly numbered, titled, and cited in the manuscript.
- A Cover Letter has been prepared and signed by the corresponding author.
- References are formatted according to APA 7th style and cited sequentially in the text.

In accordance with the double-blind peer review policy:
a. Reviewer identities are kept confidential from authors.
b. Author identities are not disclosed to reviewers during the review process.
c. Reviewer comments are shared only with the authors and editorial team.
All editorial communications are handled securely within the journal system.
Data Security
Jurnal Viva Medika implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Access to personal data is restricted to authorized editorial staff for legitimate publishing purposes.
Data Retention
Personal information will be retained as long as necessary for academic record keeping and journal management purposes. Published author information becomes part of the public scholarly record.
Third-Party Services
The journal may use third-party platforms for indexing, plagiarism detection, or manuscript management. Such services are selected based on their compliance with academic data protection standards.
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts do not contain confidential personal data of research participants unless proper consent and ethical approval have been obtained.
