Jurnal Viva Medika recognizes that generative artificial intelligence technologies may be used as supportive tools in scientific writing, language editing, data processing, or visualization. The journal upholds the principles of research integrity, transparency, accountability, and human authorship. Authors are therefore required to declare any use of generative artificial intelligence in the preparation of their manuscript.
Scope of Declaration
This declaration applies to the use of generative artificial intelligence systems, including but not limited to large language models, automated text generators, code generators, image generators, and similar technologies used to assist in writing, editing, data analysis, or figure creation.
Examples include language refinement, grammar correction, summarization, code debugging, statistical scripting assistance, or image enhancement. Routine spelling and grammar tools embedded in standard word processors do not require declaration.
Principles
Generative artificial intelligence tools must not be listed as authors. Authorship is limited to individuals who meet recognized authorship criteria and who assume full responsibility for the content of the manuscript.
Authors remain fully accountable for:

b. The absence of fabricated data, falsified information, or non-existent references.
c. Compliance with ethical standards and copyright regulations.
The use of generative artificial intelligence does not transfer responsibility from the authors.
Mandatory Disclosure
If generative artificial intelligence tools were used during manuscript preparation, authors must disclose this use in two locations:
a. In the Acknowledgements section of the manuscript.
b. In a separate Declaration of Generative AI Use statement at submission.
Failure to disclose the use of generative artificial intelligence tools may constitute a breach of publication ethics.

a. Language editing and stylistic improvement.
b. Structural refinement of text.
c. Assistance in coding or data visualization under author supervision.
d. Summarization of author-generated content.
